Dear forty-two year old Wesley, I hope life is everything you wanted and expected. Eight years away from the half century mark of life

ree

, you are really aging, and in the prime of your young adult life. By now, you should have been married to Kayla close to ten years. The dreams you set for yourself hopefully and prayerfully have all manifested and eternalized to be your forever reality. You should have a couple of kids, and are living in your own house on a golf course property too! I know for a fact that you are a strong, loving, Black father, and a strong "business handling" husband. I know that you're a well-known author, and hydrocephalus advocate, with added income from your business as an entrepreneur. For the past ten years, God has really worked on your life, marriage, finances, and he is nurturing your kids as they grow older by the day. Continue to make strides not only in your family, but community. Leave the world a better place because you’re in it. You’ll want your legacy to live long past your age of forty anyway, so keep pushing the needle. Make more mistakes in life so that you can solve more problems. That might sound like a difficult task. But just know on your journey, even this far, you’ve battled through worse.

Keep saying your afformations because they make your mind strong. At the end of the day, greatness is between you, and you! If you want it, don’t let not one person tell you you can’t accomplish something because you’re doing it every day. That’s all I had for you though, when I reach “you” Lord willing, we can reminisce on it some more. Then we can set bigger goals and have forty year old Wesley write a letter to fifty year old Wesley!
